About Me

I'm a lot like you. See if you agree.

I work from 40+ to 65 hours a week at a regular corporate job.

And I wanted more money. To buy something specific. For me, it was a little trailer-sailer pocket cruiser.

And a vacation to France.

And to catch up on retirement savings.

Teacher

I was a professional teacher for over 10 years. I taught professionally here in the States. And also in Japan.

In 2008, in Arizona, I bailed on that profession. They just keep freezing the salaries ... I couldn't afford it. Especially after a crazy divorce that came out of the blue.

It was time for a change.

I found work as a professional copywriter.

Since then, I've worked for a corporation as a copywriter and copyeditor. We produce B2C (business-to-consumer) content. I earn exactly the median income in the U.S.

So I'm Mr. Average, as far as that goes.

In 2020, I began freelancing casually.

In 2020, with the uncertainties of the pandemic hitting the economy, I began freelancing on the side, in B2B content (so I don't conflict at all with my employer's mission, which as you remember is B2C).

I focused on SaaS companies. But also finance, real estate, and law B2B content.

(I knew nothing about finance, real estate, and law. With each job, as a freelancer, you can become an expert on the content you're writing. Then write it. Of course it helps to land the job in the first place if you're already an expert. But it's not necessary.)

In late 2021, I got serious about freelancing on the side.

In late 2021, I got serious about freelancing on the side. I asked, "How much money could I make if I leveraged all the knowledge I'd built up (about approaching clients)?"

And I discovered: a lot. For a middle class person, an extra $20K in income in one month was a lot.

I perfected a system of approaching clients. And choosing freelance job offers. And completing them efficiently.

From August 2021 to December 2021, I worked virtually around the clock. That's how I took in almost $20K in December 2021.

But I like to live. Not to work around the clock.

So I dialed it back to just $1,500 a month or so. On around 5 hours per week.

You can too

I teach you how, if you meet the qualifications. And if I have space in my course Side-Gig Copywriter in 6 Days.
